MORRIGAN

THE GODDESS OF WAR, OF DEATH, OF FATE AND FURY. SHE IS NOT MERELY ONE GODDESS, BUT SOMETIMES THREE—A TRIUNE OF POWER AND PROPHECY. A SHAPESHIFTER, A HARBINGER, A SOVEREIGN OF STRIFE.

1.SITE: THE ABBEY

CHOSEN AS THE STAGE FOR HER LEGEND AT THE LU FESTIVAL OF LIGHT, THIS HAUNTING SPACE BECOMES MORE THAN A RUIN—IT BECOMES A PORTAL, A LIMINAL REALM BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH, MYTH AND MEMORY. CROWS CIRCLE WHERE BELLS ONCE TOLLED. FLICKERS OF LIGHT DANCE LIKE SPIRITS IN THE NAVE. THE AIR HUMS WITH THE PROMISE OF PROPHECY. AS DARKNESS DESCENDS, AND THE TALE UNFOLDS THROUGH FLAME AND SHADOW, THE ABBEY WILL AWAKEN. THE PHANTOM QUEENRETURNS TO THE LAND SHE NEVER LEFT.

CÚ CHULAINN

FERDIA & queen meábh

In the mists of time, where myth and history entwine, there lived two warriors bound by fate Cú Chulainn and Ferdia. Their names still echo through the valleys of Ireland, carried on the winds of ancient legend.

2.SITE: LAURENCES GATE

Here, against its medieval face, the story of Cú Chulainn and Ferdia will unfold projected not just in light, but in memory. Just as the gate once stood between war and peace, friend and foe, it now frames the legendary duel that tore apart two brothers in arms.

Lir’s Reflection

This large-scale light installation reimagines the moon’s glow as a living mirror rippling across glass, water, and architecture to evoke the restless beauty of the tides. As visitors move through the space, they become part of the reflection itself caught between city and sea, myth and light. Lir’s Reflection invites audiences to pause within the rhythm of the city and rediscover the quiet pull of the lunar world above.
